New Zealand Projects

Minarco-MineConsult has extensive experience in New Zealand. This work has included exploration program design through to acquisition advice. Our New Zealand clients have included mine owners and/or operators, investors, and financiers, and we have carried out assignments related to most of New Zealand's significant coal assets.

We have had a long association with the Pike River Coal Project. We have worked with the majority shareholder (New Zealand Oil and Gas) to take this project from concept, through the design and approvals process, to project commitment and funding.

Work completed

Work completed for our New Zealand clients has included substantial assignments in all 'Five Tiers of Service', including:

Tier 1: Corporate	Strategic and acquisition advice for New Zealand and overseas companies including arranging funds to support a drilling program and feasibility study for the Pike River Coal Project.
Tier 2: Financing Support	Several due diligence and valuation studies on Solid Energy assets for potential investors. Technical review on several other coal projects.
Tier 3: Operational	Project Managers for technical services on the Pike River Coal Project.
Tier 4: Reserves/Mine Management	Prefeasibility and bankable feasibility studies for the Pike River Coal Project. Feasibility Study for the Greymouth Coal Project (now Spring Creek).
Tier 5: Geology and Resources	Exploration strategies, management of exploration programs and preparation of Resource Statements for Pike River Coal Company.
